Ministry Opportunities
All aspects of our communal life at St. Stephen’s provide opportunities for shared involvement, and we invite each person to discern how they might best use the gifts and talents with which God has bestowed them. There are a wide range of ways that you can get involved in the life of the church, including:
Singing in the Parish Choir or offering your gifts as an instrumentalist (Music Director Dana Ballard would love to hear from you!);
Serving as an Usher, Lay Reader, or Eucharistic Minister;
Joining the Altar Guild;
Becoming a member of the Daughters of the King;
Serving on the parish Vestry;
Helping to lead our youth and adult education programs;
Joining in the meetings of our Samaritan Peer-to-Peer Caregiver Support Group;
Taking part in our Prayer Shawl Ministry;
Learning how you can support our work with United Thank Offering;
Assisting in our periodic parish work days as we tend to our beautiful grounds and historic cemetery;
… and more!
If you’d like to learn more about the many ministry opportunities here at St. Stephen’s and how you can take part, simply email the Parish Office at ststephensforest@mail.com, call (434) 525-5511, or talk to the Rector or any member of the Vestry.
